Hi! today my brother found a tarantula. My mom said it was a young female. I agreed. It was not dead. I thought it was creepy and it's rare for tarantula's to come out at this type of year. It was light colored. I was afraid. So I went back into the house to do the rest of my homework.

You can see more creepy critter stories at this place!!!!

Hannah Montana Best of Both Worlds Concert, 3D

Today I saw the Hannah Montana Concert Best of Both Worlds Concert 3D. It felt like I could jump on stage and be one of the dancers in the production! The concert was in 3D, that means you put special glasses on and then it looks like people and things jump out at you. It looked like Hannah was singing and looking at me in the eye. She sang a lot of songs and the Jonas Brothers were the special guests. I learned she lives by the songs that she writes. I had lots of fun and I would highly recommend this concert movie. I hope the theater reads this blog! Goodbye, and by the way, she's a part time pop star! Rock on Hannah!

The True Story of the Three Little Pigs as told to Jon Scieszka

Hi! Today I read The True Story of the Three little Pigs. It's about three pigs and a wolf. The wolf has a cold and he's making a cake for his granny for her birthday. He ran out of sugar so he went to his neighbor's house to borrow some sugar. The pigs house was made out of straw. He called for the pig...no awnswer. All of a sudden he sneezed and the house fell down. There the pig was dead so... He ate him! Then the wolf went to the other neighbor, his house was made out of twigs. The wolf asked for sugar from him too, the pig said "you can't come in wolf, I'm shaving the hairs on my chinny, chin, chin". The wolf sneezed and the house broke down and the second pig died too. The wolf ate him too, "think of it as a second serving" he said to himself. He went to the third pigs house. This house was made out of bricks. He asked for some sugar from him too. The pig said "get lost wolf" and the wolf explained why he needed the sugar but the pig started to say very, very mean things about the wolf's granny. So the wolf got really mad at the pig and got caught by the police when he was trying to blow the house down. So the police took him to jail. And that's the true story of the Three Little Pigs.

I hope you like the story!

Where the Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein

Hi! Today I read Where the Sidewalk Ends. It is filled with funny poems. I love it! Here are my favorite poems..

Thumbs
Oh the thumb-suckers thumb.
May look wrinkled and wet.
And withered and white as the snow,
but the taste of a thumb is the sweetest taste yet
(As only we thumb suckers know).

Drats
Can anyone lend me two eighty pound rats?
I want to rid my house of cats.

Warning
Inside everybody's nose
There lives a sharp-toothed snail
So if you stick your finger in,
He might bite off your nail.
Stick it farther up inside
And he may bite your ring off.
Stick it all the way and he may
Bite the whole darn thing off.

You can pick your friends and you can pick your nose, but you can't pick your friend's nose...

I hope you liked my picks... Ha, ha, ha!

The Mitten by Jan Brett

Hi! Today I read The Mitten by Jan Brett. It's about lots of animals like foxes, rabbits, badgers, and bears. A little boy's grandmother made him a pair of snow white mittens. But the grandmother warned him "if you lose the white mittens in the snow, you'll never be able to find them." But he dropped a mitten in the snow. First a little mole found the lost mitten and snuggled in. Then a hare climbed in, then the hedgehog. After that one animal at a time snuggled in. At last when a big bear nosed himself in a little mouse came in and jumped on his nose. All of a sudden the bear sneezed, "ah choo!" The mitten was stretched out and all the animals fell out. At the end, the little boy found the stretched out mitten. The grandma looked out the window to see if he was safe and if he had both mittens.

The end! Hope you liked the story!

The Cat why do cats purr and other true facts

Hi! Today I read The Cat Why do Cats Purr and Other True Facts. I think cats are cute. The book has cool facts in it. Here's a feline fact... House cats can only purr. Big cats such as lions and leopards can only roar. Here's some other facts...

Cats don't have 9 lives.

Cats tails help them balance.

The chattiest kitty is the Siamese.

Cat claws are retractable.

A cats tounge is so rough because it has small spikes on it that they use to brush their fur.

Thats all for today. I hope this blog was purrrrfect!

The Dog

Hi! Today I read The Dog. Why dogs noses are wet and other true facts.

I learned:

Siberian Husky sled dogs eat between 10,000 and 14,000 calories a day while regular dogs eat about 1500 calories per day.

Dogs drool because when they exercise or eat their saliva glands get going and they just can't make them stop.

Dogs chase cats up trees because they don't exactly know the cat so they think it's a threat and they want to protect their owner so they try to chase it away.

That is enough for tonight! Hope you enjoyed the book. Chow! (get it? chow?)

Then the duck then all of the animals try it! They love it and start to hear instruments. They danced all day and night. They made a dancing band called The Barnyard Ballet of Dumpy La Rue.
